Roy Halladay
Well the Rangers weren't able to get Roy Halladay. BUT, it wasn't because of the fact that we didn't want to trade anybody. It was in fact Roy Halladay who said he didn't want to be traded. So the Rangers move on without any new additions, and without any costly subtractions. I guess we will just have to win without anybody new.

Gettin' Hungry
Wow... That is all I have to say as the Rangers lost 3 out of 4 games to Seattle to end the first half of the season. However, I am going to look at this as a good thing. Hopefully, we come out of the all star break hungry for an AL West title. I hope the Rangers go after every team with a vengeance. I have a feeling, the pitchers will get rested up and so will the offense. It saves everybody's bodies from getting hurt in 100 degree weather. But right now, we are in 2nd place. I have a gut feeling, the Rangers will give every team a run for their money after the break. GO RANGERS!

First Place
I don't know about any of you guys out there, but this year has been different from most years. It is the fact that a lot of years, the Rangers have been in first place. Even if for not very long. But if they gave up that first place position, they would just sink and sink and not gain it back at all. This year, the Rangers have been down but they have popped right back up into first place. We have lead by as many as four and a half games and been back by that much. But what matters now, is right now and hopefully heading into the all star break, the Rangers are in first place.

Eddie Guardado
So is it just me or did Eddie look like he was ready to retire after the last pitch, the last time he pitched. I think that Eddie anotherdaysavingDerekHolland'sarmisonedayclosertotheplayoffs Guardado is just filling in the bullpen spot saved for a player such as Neftali Feliz. Don't get me wrong, I never want Eddie to leave. But it just seems like he is the odd man out in the bullpen. What do you guys think?

Question of the Day
How many wins do you think the Rangers will get this year. at this point they are on pace for over 90 wins. What do you guys think?
Hamilton, Jones hit Rangers Past Angels
Josh Hamilton went 3 for 4 in his second game back and Andruw Jones hit a 3 run home run in the fifth to lead the Rangers past the Angels on Tuesday night. Derek Holland earned the win for the AL West co-leaders. The Rangers throw Vicente Padilla tonight against the Angel's Ervin Santana. Lets win this series and go to Seattle. GO RANGERS!

Hamilton's Return Spoiled
Despite Josh Hamilton returning and going 2-4 with a run scored, the Rangers couldn't overcome the Angels as they fell to the division rivals 9-4. Hamilton didn't do that bad as he swung the bat well and didn't get hurt. Ian Kinsler added a home run to break out of an 0-24 slump. The Rangers take on the Angels tonight where the Rangers throw Dustin Nippert for the first time this year. He will be dueling against John Lackey. Hopefully the Rangers come back for a win. GO RANGERS!

Rangers Bring out the Brooms
The Rangers finished off the Rays on Sunday in style. The bullpen shut down the Rays in the final three innings and the Rangers swept the Rays. The Rangers got perfect game ball from the bullpen which consisted of Jason Jennings, CJ Wilson, and Frank Francisco picking up his 14th save of the season. The Rangers start a three game series against the Angels tonight as they hope to continue their five game winning streak. GO RANGERS!

Davis Sent Down
With the return of Josh Hamilton tonight, the Rangers had to make a move. That move happened to be sending Chris Davis down to triple-A. Manager Ron Washington said that he needs to get his confidence back, sending him to a less stressful situation will help with that. Josh Hamilton will be in the line up tonight as the Rangers take on the Angels in a battle between the leaders of the American League West. GO RANGERS!

Holland Earns First Win as Starter
Derek Holland went six strong innings without his best stuff. Striking out four while walking one. He gave up four earned runs and that was all the Rays could muster as the bullpen shut them down with excellent innings by Grilli, Mathis, and Guardado. This was Holland's second win but only his first as a starter. Let's go for the sweep against the Rays tonight on ESPN. GO RANGERS!

Happy Birthday Tommy
Tommy Hunter earned his first major league win on, you guessed it, his birthday. He pitched 5 1/3 innings and celebrated his 23rd birthday in fashion. This win, along with the Angels loss yesterday, puts us in a tie for first place with the Angels. This win also came against Rays starter Scott Kazmir, who was the Rays ace for their World Series team. Hopefully, we can come back tonight and back Derek Holland for another win. GO RANGERS!

Walk Off...
Hank Blalock hit his first walk off home run of his career on Wednesday. It was only his eighth multi-homerun game of his career. It came in a clutch position that won the game and the series against the Angels for the Rangers. Hopefully we can continue this streak against the Rays. GO RANGERS!

The Great Hambino
Josh Hamilton is reporting that he will try and be back this Saturday against the Rays. This is a good sign as it should help out the offense continue getting its bats back. He played for double-A Frisco this week and went 1-4 with an RBI and a stolen base. He said he feels some soreness but not related to the injury. It is just normal running and stretching soreness. Well the Rangers are tied right now in the 4th inning. Talk to ya next time and GO RANGERS!

Frustrations, Frustrations.
The Rangers offense has been horrible the past few games. We only got 1, count it 1 hit off of the Padres. Because of this we have to go into a series with the Angels on a losing streak against one of the worst teams in baseball. However much this is frustrating, I am not as frustrated as I thought. Because even though the Rangers have been doing very good so far, no one ever thought that we would be where we are today. Everyone thought this year was the last rebuilding year before we actually started to contend. We were supposed to bring up some of our prospects this year and get them some experience and then next year we would be in the division race. Well good old Nolan Ryan made sure we would be in contention this year. He got Kevin Millwood to get in shape so he can go longer in games. He scared Vicente Padilla out of his lack-luster-starting days by putting him on waivers. He also gave Scott Feldman a chance in the rotation, which in return Feldman gave us several quality starts and wins. Well I am content with this year and when Josh Hamilton gets back, maybe our offense will follow the path of our pitching at the beginning of the year. After all, in Rudy I trust.

Starting Pitching
So we are in need of some starting pitching on account of Matt Harrison being put on the DL. This brings the need to trade for it before the deadline. I however, don't think we need to go outside of the organization to find pitching. We have plenty of young, and old, talent waiting to be brought up from the minors. We acquired Orlando Hernandez not to long ago, so if you don't use him that was a waste of money that could have been used to pay some other starting pitcher. Well, the Rangers are tied with the Padres right now, 0-0, so GO RANGERS!
Moving Forward
Hopefully after the loss yesterday to the lowly Padres, we can move on tonight and get a win. One bright spot from yesterday was that Chris Davis hit his 15th homer of the season. It was a bomb to center field. The other Ranger runs came from back to back RBI doubles from Andruw Jones and Michael Young. Anyway, a few bad breaks that go our way and that game was ours yesterday. Well We'll see what tonight brings. GO RANGERS!

2nd Place
Well, the first place streak has ended. The Angels have caught up to us and we are now in second place. Unless we turn it around tomorrow this could be a bad sign.
Harrison on DL
Well, the Rangers are putting Harrison on the DL again. That really messes up our rotation.
Grrr.... Angels
Well the Angels won today, thus tying them for first place with the Rangers. Hopefully the Rangers can come back tonight and get a win.
