5-0
Image by Keith Allison via Flickr
That is the score of the game against the Indians last night. I find it very disappointing that we got shutout by an Indians starter, and it wasn't Cliff Lee. He is gone. So is Victor Martinez. Right now at this point, you would have never thought that we would have gotten shutout by Aaron Laffey and the Indians. It just makes me sick. On a bright note, Josh Hamilton went 2-4 but no RBI's or Runs for him because, we got shutout.MY for MVP

Chris Davis
Image by Keith Allison via Flickr
So after looking at the stats of Justin Smoak and Chris Davis, I realized that, Chris Davis is the better player. He is hitting for much better average, and has more power. Davis is hitting .325 while Smoak is hitting .211. A lot of people have been begging for Smoak to be brought up, but right now, Davis is the better player.MY for MVP

Wild Card Tie
Image by Getty Images via Daylife
The Rangers have moved into a tie for first place in the wild card. We can thank former Rangers Mark Teixeira for the tie as he hit the game winning home run against the Red Sox last night as the Yankees beat the Red Sox. So now, the Rangers have two chances of making the playoffs. We can either win the division, or win the wild card. I prefer the division because that way there are t-shirts to be had. Holland pitched a gem yesterday. Let's continue the streak with Dustin Nippert against the Indians.MY for MVP

Holland Throws Gem
Image by Keith Allison via Flickr
Derek Holland again showed what he is going to be in the future as he threw a 3 hit complete game shut out against the Angels. He flirted with a no-hitter through 5 and 2/3 innings before giving up a single up the middle. That was all he gave up was singles. He struck out 8 batters and only through 96 pitches. This was the second time in 3 games Holland has show this dominance as he threw 8 and 2/3 innings with 10 strike outs 2 games ago. He is going to be the ace of this staff one day. And he will be the true meaning of ace.

Domination Station
Image by Keith Allison via Flickr
The Rangers continued their dominance over the Angels last night gathering 15 hits and winning 11-6. This came behind a strong Scott Feldman. The Rangers belted 5 home runs which included ones from Hank Blalock, Michael Young, Josh Hamilton, Taylor Teagarden, and from nobody you would expect a home run from... Omar Visquel. As the announcers said last night. If Omar can hit it out, anybody can hit it out. And that proved true as two batters later, Michael Young belted his 19th home run of the year. He also went 3 for 6 at the plate. Josh Hamilton seems to be back as he has hit the ball hard all the time since the Oakland game in which he hit the ball the hardest he has hit one after the all star break. Let's help Michael hawl home the hardware.MY for MVP

3 In A Row...
Image by Keith Allison via Flickr
The Rangers have lost 3 games in a row... And to nobody else but the "17 game back" Oakland Athletics. I guess there were a couple of good thin gs to come out of this. First off, Josh Hamilton is back. He is hitting the ball like he used to. Second, Michael Young extended his hitting streak to 12 games. And third... The Angels lost also. So even though we have lost three straight, we are still 4 1/2 games back in the division. Early game today, hopefully we don't get swept.MY for MVP

Cruz Sprains Ankle
Image by Keith Allison via Flickr
On the last play of the game, Nelson Cruz came up lame. It just added to a woeful ninth inning as the A's came back to win it in the bottom of the ninth. With 2 outs and a 1-2 count on Rajai Davis. Davis roped a game winning triple into the right field corner. It was after this play that Nelson Cruz came up limping and had to be helped off of the field. Barring significant improvement overnight, he could be headed to the DL. Michael Young also added a hit to extend his hitting streak to 10 games.MY for MVP

The Feliz Era has Begun!
Image by Getty Images via Daylife
Neftali Feliz has entered the Major Leagues. He entered it with one inning pitched... and three strike outs. He hit triple digits a couple times and was consistently at 98 MPH. He also struck out two batters with a devastating 90 MPH CHANGE UP. The other batter he struck out with a 100 MPH fastball. If anything, this is an improvement to the Rangers bullpen.MY for MVP

Kinsler on DL; Neftali Up
Image by Getty Images via Daylife
The Rangers put Ian Kinsler on the DL and they also made a great move. The brought up Neftali Feliz. This, along with activating Frank Francisco from the DL added some great power arms to the bullpen. Anyway, the Rangers just won on a CJ Wilson strike out. AND... Michael Young hit another home run which gives him 17 on the year. What a year for MY.MY for MVP

Ian Kinsler Still Out
Image by Keith Allison via Flickr
Ian Kinsler sat again. He is using this down time after the injury to rest up so he is not dragging the rest of the season. I think this is a good thing as it gives Ian some rest and gives Omar some more playing time. If all goes well, Ian should be back in the line up some time this week. Roy Halladay
Well the Rangers weren't able to get Roy Halladay. BUT, it wasn't because of the fact that we didn't want to trade anybody. It was in fact Roy Halladay who said he didn't want to be traded. So the Rangers move on without any new additions, and without any costly subtractions. I guess we will just have to win without anybody new.
